 How I come up with ideas


How I normally come up with ideas is fairly simple. this is what I like to do:

1. Choosing my topic - this can be any word like hat, car, portal then I base my story on that. I also like to make a list of random keywords if I can't think of a specific word.

2. Brainstorming - when I have chosen a word I like to draw a diagram like the image above and beside each line I start brainstorming the genre, setting, title, dilemma, storyline and characters based on that word. this is where I write anything that comes to mind.

3.  Writing - I first start writing my story I don't worry too much about making it perfect, I just write down anything and try to come up with a story. I find writing it down on paper first is the easiest.

4. Editing - this is when i go back and fix any spelling mistakes or parts of the story to make it make more sense and make sure its written correctly. 

At the start I used to never like sharing my ideas because I always thought it would sound dumb. but its really about just writing down whatever you want.

finding ideas is different for anyone you just have to find your own way, whether it be finding inspiration from past experience or from out your window. This is how I come up with ideas.

This week we are coming down to the final steps in our research project. Because the week before was such a busy week, we ended up leaving everything last minute. This meant we had to put in a lot of work, time, and effort to get this project finished properly.  Our task this week was to get the video completed and then uploaded on youtube so that we can present it to the class in the following week. Starting Out

This week we are introducing project blogs. My class and I have been asked to create a group project following a social issue of our choice, and to document our journey through this process. For this project, I am working with Aiden Kelly, Rhys Mc Carthy, and Roibeard Mac Cumascaigh from my group 3 Introduction to Digital Media class.  We have been asked to cover the topic of misinformation and disinformation in the media. I personally think that this is a very interesting topic seeing as it's one of those subjects that is commonly discussed yet rarely understood.  This subject goes into dept on the misleading, confusing and false information in the media that we had to face for decades now, even before the internet was introduced to the world. It talks about the differences between misinformation vs disinformation, the different ways and methods used by the media and government to convince the minds of its passive audience and it also discusses the dangers this can lead to. Peer Review 2

Peer Review 2 This week we did another peer review for our Introduction to Digital Media reading task. I truly learned a lot this time around when it came to the blogs I was giving feedback to. Not only was I able to reflect on my own blog based on the feedback I was giving, but it also gave me the opportunity to look at different writing styles and opinions.    Reading Katie's blog really gave me a clear idea on how to express my points while keeping things short and simple, the way that she was able to state her opinions well and then move on to the next topic quickly was amazing and something I realized I needed to learn how to do.    While reading Kailan's blog I noticed how everything was well thought out and planned.  Her blog was very clear when it came to messaging, opinions and examples.
