BTS
BTS is a K-pop (Korean pop) group made up of seven members Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook who all come from different parts of South Korea. They debuted under Big Hit Entertainment (a Korean Entertainment industry) with the songs "no more dream" followed by "we are bulletproof pt 2".
Over the years the group has produced many great songs around various themes starting with the "School" concept. This was followed by "The Most Beautiful Moments in life", "Wings", and the "Love yourself" series. Their "love yourself: Answer" bringing them to the top of the Us Charts, which leads to them getting praised on Twitter by South Korean President Moon - Jae for their success and getting a chance to speak at the United Nations.
They've been number one on iTunes in over 91 countries and regions with their album map of the soul 7 and are one of the first boy groups to do so. However, it wasn't always like this. In fact, BTS struggled a lot in their more unpopular years.
Hardships
BTS debuted under Big Hit entertainment. During that time Big Hit wasn't a large company and they struggled a lot financially. They traveled from their home towns to Seoul leaving their family behind to pursue their dreams at a very young age. The youngest only Thirteen years old. The boys all shared a small room and would have to practice 12 - 15 hours a day.
Why are they so successful?
Their music: BTS are very good at making music that people want to listen to. According to billboard their album "Love Yourself: Tear", became the first primary foreign - language No 1 album in over 12 years. Not only that but many people say that the subject of their music has played a big part in their basic. While many pop songs are mostly about love and relationships, BTS covers subjects such as loving yourself, Mental health, and Bullying.
Their performances: BTS have always gotten so much attention for their slick dance routines and their extremely good music videos, that even impressed big stars such as John Cena, Beyonce, Arianna Grande, and Paul McCartney. To polish their dance routines they would practice for hours to get it right.
The Internet: Social media has played a big part in BTS's success. Suga once stated: "I think we're so lucky to be born at the right time, without social media we wouldn't have been so successful". Social media has allowed the group to connect with their followers on a personal level gathering fans from around the world.
The fans: BTS has some of the most loyal dedicated fans ever with over 34 million followers on Instagram, 25.7 million followers on Twitter, and 41 million subscribers on Youtube. The fans (Known as Army) got BTS 300 million online votes to ensure that they won their billboard award. additionally, they viewed the music video for their song DNA 50 million times on youtube. Army's are always showing their love by sharing how much BTS left an impact on them. Constantly showing love for the seven boys.
